To The Finish Line!

A bit more progress has happened in the last week, after a slow fortnight.

The tiles have been completed and the plumbing fixtures have begun.

And the kitchen appliances, which we supplied, have been installed; and boy they look fabulous!!

You can just see a sneak peek of the timber-look floor tiles under the oven too. We're so excited to see how they look once the whole house is done!

In not-so-great news, it appears the second shower head in the ensuite has been installed as the wrong model, so now that needs to be rectified. You'd think after the massive balls-up on the cornice that selections would be being checked and double checked when items are delivered, and definitely before they are unpacked and installed! I'm beginning to think the builder should be paying me a supervision fee, as the supervisor obviously isn't doing it!

The supervisor has told us key handover is due around Mid August. Its a couple of weeks later than I expected, but perhaps he subconsciously knew things would be wrong and need remedying so the extra couple of weeks allow for that! 

With the end being so close, the husband and I have now made a couple of big-ticket purchases for the new place too. 

First was a new dishwasher.

and secondly a new dining suite, in 8 seats (not 6 as pictured) with a gorgeous grey linen chair.
