We have a date! The builder contacted me today and advised that shiz is about to get real. Obviously not in those words, but we have some start dates!
Earthworks should be complete by Wed 22-Jan-2014
Footings are booked for Thurs 23-Jan-2014
Slab is booked for Fri 24-Jan-2014
Just in time for the Australia Day long weekend, and perhaps a few cheeky *cheers*

We're still a little unsure as to exactly what date the earthworks will actually be commencing. We think it will take around a week to clear the block, so based on that, hopefully we should see some movement this Wed 15-Jan-2014, but if the builder only thinks it will take 3 days, the earthmovers may not come in until Mon 20-Jan-2014. We're really hoping they do start this week, rather than next because if the block does take longer than anticipated to clear, it will push the concrete works out, and with the long weekend, that will cause even more delays!
